I’ve just uploaded a tutorial to DIMi that demonstrates one way of using Photoshop and ImageReady to design web pages with rollover buttons. You may find it useful in showing the required steps.

Coming out of a discussion on the dfa Yahoo list I put out a very rough list of features for what I saw as the ideal inkjet printer for digital artists. So I have decided to flesh that rough idea out here.

As a follow-on to the last post it is worth talking about the value of restriction is breaking our bounds and loosening us up.

The other day I was replying to someone off of one of the many email lists I am on who had emailed me offlist about being stuck with respect to their creativity. This got me thinking.

Time Killer
When I started playing with fractals a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, the program I began playing with was a DOS program called FractInt. It is still around. It is anachronistic in so many ways in the days of fancy user interface Windows applications. FractInt still runs in DOS and people are still playing with it. And not just playing. Lately I’ve really been enjoying playing with digital cameras again. I’ve rediscovered infrared photography in a big way and had great fun out with my own Canon 350D and with the other cameras I’ve had here on test, like the Nikon D200. Both these are lovely digital cameras and take great shots.
