Last night I went to one of my standard camera test locations, a bridge that gives me an uninterrupted view of our central business district testing the Panasonic FZ50.

As usual, I was engrossed in getting a series of exposures at varying ISO settings. When some of the exposures were quite long and while waiting for the camera to finish the shot, the noise removal exposure and writing to the memory card (not a fast process on the FZ50 when shooting RAW) I decided to look around.

There behind me was the full moon rising between the light towers on the freeway. So, as soon as I had finished my planned test shots I walked over to the other side of the bridge and shot the moon in various ways.

The results were interesting and again illustrate the fact that you should never become so focused on your intended subject that you forget to have a good look around.
